Urban Surface Ozone Investigation
Since 1994, Professor Austin has received funding from NASA for a variety of projects. In her current $61,000 technology and environmental science project, she and her students study the flow of ozone by launching high altitude balloons into the atmosphere. Her advice to junior faculty is, “Try to form ties with other research institutions; look for opportunities. Junior faculty can work in a wide variety of research areas.”
