General Description
The Khayat group, located in City College of New York, is seeking to to hire an entry to entry-level technician to provide support for cryo-electron microscopy and image analysis. We work on a number of projects that include host-pathogen interaction, membrane proteins, and macromolecular machines. Candidates should have a BS or BA in Physics, Chemistry, Biology or any similar major. Experiments will require strong hand-eye coordination. Use of computational resources is necessary. Candidates should demonstrate a strong level of independence, self-motivation, and work ethic. Training will be provided and individuals are not expected to be fluent in the above-mentioned techniques. This is a two-year full-time hire.
