General Description
Teach comprehensive training programs in automotive technology repair, maintenance and specializing in electric vehicles. Covering topics such as EV technology, charging infrastructure, and safety protocols.
Other Duties
Curriculum Development:
- Keep abreast of the latest developments in electric vehicle technology, industry trends, and regulatory changes to continually enhance the curriculum.
Instructional Delivery:
- Provide instruction on the operation of electric vehicles and PPE to safely perform maintenance and repair.
- Cover power management, power inverters, AC to DC converters, and accessory systems, enabling students to comprehend the intricacies of power systems in electric vehicles.
- Conduct engaging and informative classes, workshops, and hands-on training sessions for students, ensuring a dynamic and interactive learning environment outlined by school’s curriculum.
Lab and Practical Sessions:
- Oversee practical sessions in our state-of-the-art lab facilities, providing hands-on experience with electric vehicle components and systems.
Assessment and Feedback:
- Evaluate student progress through assignments, assessments, and projects. Provide constructive feedback and guidance for improvement.
- Participate in community outreach programs, workshops, and events to promote awareness and understanding of electric vehicles and sustainable transportation.
Qualifications
- Automotive Technology Degree, Associate / Bachelor, or related field experience
- ASE Certification required after 3 months of employment
- In-depth knowledge of electric vehicle technology, charging systems, and associated infrastructure.
- Previous teaching or training experience is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Bilingual English / Spanish a plus
