Open Position: Part-Time Clinical Research Coordinator in Neuropsychological and Neuroimaging Studies
This is a two-years position, renewable for longer based upon performance and productivity. Review of applicants will begin on May 1st, 2017, and will continue until the position is filled.
The candidate will contribute to multiple neuropsychological and imaging studies of children at the Computational Neuroanatomy and Neuroinformatics Lab (CNN Lab) mainly at New Jersey Institute of Technology, in collaboration with clinical departments at City University of New York, Rutgers University, Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, and Albert Einstein College of Medicine. The multiple neuroimaging modalities involved in the lab includes structural MRI, DTI, task-based and resting-state fMRI and functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS). The study population is focused on children with Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Mood Disorder (MD), and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI).
Candidate Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with subject recruitment, consent, and scheduling of families for research studies.
- Prepare documents for IRB renewal and amendments.
- Perform demographic, neurocognitive, and clinical data collation at study visits, including conducting MRI scans, neuropsychological and developmental assessments.
- Conducting occasional after-hours and weekend study visits.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Psychology, Public Health, or other related fields; or on-campus students pursuing their Bachelor’s/Master’s degrees in these fields.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced research environment.
- Strong interest in cognitive neuroscience, clinical neuropsychology, child development, and other related fields is ideal for this position.
- Knowledge and practical experience working with children is a plus
